2019 Accent vs Versa: Technology

Hyundai Accent

As far as infotainment goes, the 2019 Accent and Versa are very well matched. Both offer available 7-inch touchscreens with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. When you want to send texts, use your navigation app, or manage your music library, just plug in your smartphone and access it all from the touchscreen.

However, the Versa lacks several features that are standard in most small cars (including the Accent), like power doors and power windows. Also, only the Accent has available automatic temperature control, so you can set and keep a precise temperature in the cabin, for a comfortable ride.

Subcompact Car Exterior Features

The Hyundai Accent and Nissan Versa are both practical rides that eschew flashiness-but they still have an understated style all their own. With sleek chrome grilles (hexagonal in the Accent; trapezoidal in the Versa), they draw all eyes front and center.

While the Versa's rear spoiler with an integrated LED brake light looks sleek, you'll find more opportunities for efficiency excellence in the Accent. You can fit it with optional LED headlamps, LED running lights, and LED taillamps that run longer on less energy-and look sharp while doing so.

Our favorite feature on the Accent is the available sunroof, giving you a view of clear skies or starry nights above. It's yet another feature you won't find in the Nissan Versa.

Engine Performance Specs

Hyundai Accent

The 2019 Accent and Versa run on 1.6L 4-cylinder engines, but you'll get a bit more oomphfrom the Accent engine. It provides up to 130 horsepower and 119 lb-ft of torque, while the Versa falls behind with just 109 horsepower and 107 lb-ft of torque. You'll get a more energetic drive from the Accent.

Both cars come standard with manual transmissions to give you control over your ride. For convenience, you can choose an XtronicCVT® in the Versa or a 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC® in the Accent. You'll really get the best of both worlds with the latter-you can upshift or downshift manually if you like!
